The Dirac-Schwinger quantization condition of the electric charge with respect to the magnetic monopole charge is criticized in the context of the extension of electrodynamics presented by the author (Nuovo Cimento A,99, 211 (1988)). For ag′-quark pair bound by subcritical Coulomb-like force, the magnetic current sustains through its differential an electric charge density leading in various approximations to a lower valueg∼|g′|−1 of the total charge. This was also examined using Borel summability (Nuovo Cimento A,100, 477 (1988)).
